Local Easter activities for the Easter break

As our parents will be aware, Hipperholme Grammar Junior School will be closed from Monday 10 – Friday 21 April for the Easter break. Those two weeks can be a long time away from school when it comes to keeping the younger members of your family entertained. If you’re struggling to find ideas for what to do and where to go, we have found some egg-cellent ideas that will keep the whole family entertained.

Here is a roundup of local events with some fun activities this Easter break:

  1. Easter Activities at Kershaw’s Garden Centre, Brighouse

We know our Junior School children enjoy being outdoors, and an egg hunt around the garden is a great way to keep them entertained this Easter. If you’d like to participate in an egg hunt, or other fun activities this Easter, Kershaw’s Garden Centre will be hosting a number of craft sessions to entertain the younger family members. More information can be found here.

  1. The Artworks’ Easter Fair, Shaw Lodge Mill

Head down to the Easter Fair at The Artworks, near Halifax on Saturday 15 April where there will be children’s art workshops and a chance to look around the arts and crafts which have been created by local artists.

  1. Yummy Yorkshire, Huddersfield

If you fancy venturing further afield this Easter, Yummy Yorkshire is a great outing for the whole family. From chocolate workshops to an Easter hunt, there are always fun activities happening at Delph Farm.

  1. Charity Duck Race, Hebden Bridge

Don’t be stuck on what to do on the Bank Holiday Monday. Locals in Hebden Bridge are having a charity duck race along the River Hebden starting at 3:15pm. The day will also be filled with children’s rides, charity stalls and live music from a local jazz band. Buy your tickets here.

  1. Kings Camp, Hipperholme Grammar School

Hosted at our Senior School, Kings Camp offers an exciting opportunity for children aged 4-17 to get involved in fun activities and make new friends along the way. Running in the first week of the Easter break, visit the Kings Camp website to find out more information and to make a booking.

There are a range of things you and your family can do this Easter, whether that going on a hunt or going to a camp. We hope you have a lovely Easter and enjoy some of these activities which are on offer.
