School Lunches and Catering
The School’s catering is provided on site by Wilson Vale Caterers under Head Chefs Luke Culkin(Senior School) and Mandy Bland (Junior School). Wilson Vale took over the contract for our catering in early 2011 and we have been impressed with the range and freshness of their catering.
Our Tuition Fees for students at both our Junior and Senior Schools are inclusive of school lunches, ensuring that our students have a range of healthy and wholesome choices available to choose from.
At the Senior School the kitchen has recently been upgraded with a new steam/convector oven, stainless steel work tops, new crockery and fridges to reflect the change to preparing all food daily on-site from fresh ingredients without additives or preservatives. The Junior School kitchens were recently refurbished with new fridge and dishwasher units.
All food, including the soup and bread, is freshly prepared daily using local produce on site.
On the opening day of our new kitchen a year 8 pupil said to the Business Manager “Wow Sir! … we have moved into the future!”.
Lunches are now extremely popular with all pupils excited and eager to get to lunch on time. Wilson Vale have guaranteed that everyone will have a full choice from the menu, so even those on the last sitting are not disappointed. A mark of their success can be seen in our pupils’ smiling faces at lunch and clean plates returned.
At the Junior School there are a number of options to choose from at lunchtime freshly prepared in the kitchen by our Head Chef, Mandy Bland, who has over 30 experience in the catering industry.
All children are supervised to ensure that they are accessing a balanced diet. In 2014 we were shortlisted as one of 3 finalists in the Healthy Eating category at the ISA Awards for excellence.
