Admission
The entrance examination for pupils looking to join the senior school in September takes place in January.
Prior to that date pupils and their parents are invited to attend our Open Evening in October. We also have an Open Evening in March.
It is possible to register your child at any time. This means that you will be added to our database and therefore invited to Open Days and other events throughout the year.
Following the entrance exam, current school reports are requested before individual interviews take place, after which a decision on admittance will be communicated to parents.
Those aged 12-13 years old who wish to enter Year 9 sit a different paper, but on the same date.
Older pupils are admitted on the strength of their previous school reports or on GCSE results for those coming into the Sixth Form. The absolute minimum is five passes at Grade B, or better, in the subjects they are hoping to study at A-level.
