Grammar School PTA events

Family Quiz Night  Saturday 3rd October 2009

 

A big Thank You to everyone who came along to support the Family Quiz, which was thoroughly enjoyed by old and young alike and raised a very impressive £570 towards the purchase of new laptops and data loggers for the Science Department.

 

Quiz Night for 2010 has been booked for Saturday 16th October

 

 

Winter Wonderland Ball - Saturday 28th November 2009

 

 

 

The 2009 Ball was a huge success, with all tickets sold and everyone having a wonderful time. The evening also allowed us to make a £500 donation to a local charity, together with over £1600 going towards the funding of a number of school activities. As ever, there was a good deal of 'behind the scenes' effort to ensure that the evening was a truly memorable one and our thanks go to everyone who generously gave their time and support.

 

This year's ball is now confirmed for Saturday 27th November with an "80's" theme, so make a note in your diary and watch out for further announcements coming soon !

 

 

 

Bag 2 School

 

Thanks to everyone who brought their bags along on the 27th January, we  raised an impressive £208 for PTA funds.

 

In order to get the 'best return' for our efforts, we have agreed to hold another collection on 17th November, so we'd be very grateful if everyone could put to one side any unwanted clothing, bedding, soft toys, shoes, bags, belts and curtains until then.

 

 

 

Annual Balloon Race - 9th July 2010

 

 

 

 

 

 

There will be a letter coming home soon with more details of the race and how to take part by buying your labels.

 

 

 

PTA Funds

 

Funds currently stand at approx £1500 with agreement to provide a £200 contribution towards new school trophies.

 

 

PTA Meeting Dates

Monday 13th September and Monday 1st November, both at 6.15pm in the Board Room.

 

We are a very friendly PTA and would encourage you to come along to the meetings - we are always looking for new ideas for events and how to make everyone be a part of what we do . It's also a great way to meet other parents and become more involved with the School.
