Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception)
Nursery
Our Nursery class offers excellent education and care in our bright, stimulating and ever evolving setting.
The children are happy and engaged, they love to come to school, they learn and grow in confidence in this warm and caring environment.
The children access learning through play in all the six areas of the Early Years Framework. They have access to excellent play provision and we ensure supportive, individual attention by having a small nursery class.
Children can join our school as early as three years old. Our Nursery Department is staffed by a qualified teacher with a nursery nurse/support assistant.
Our Nursery operates Monday to Friday during term term only.
Plan A 8.55 - 12.30 (including lunch)
Plan B 12.30 - 3.30
Plan C 8.55 - 3.30 (including lunch)
Early Years Funding is available until your child's 5th Birthday. We offer a Breakfast and an After School club.
So that your child reaches his/her full potential, we recommend he/she attends five consecutive sessions in order for him/her to establish a routine and benefit from the broad range of experiences.
The nursery teacher will work alongside you to ensure the provision is appropriate for your child. The curriculum in this department is securely based on the programme Birth to Three Matters and on the National Curriculum.

We encourage good manners at all times, we nurture sensitivity and respect to others, we strive to ensure all children are mulitculturally aware and are working towards a lifelong love of learning.
Our Nursery class prepares children for the full school day that they will begin in Reception. Then children continue with their learning journey and staff work together to ensure a smooth transition into Reception.

In addition to the requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) we do
place an importance on the more traditional values and methods throughout our school, and this begins in the reception year.
