All children from Reception to Year 6 learn French.
Madame Canning is our specialist French teacher who inspires in the children a love
of language and the French culture from this very early age.

The children begin their learning in pacey, fun, oral lessons which teach the customs and geography of France through books and pictures which prompt discussion and interaction.
As the children progress into Key Stage 2, more formal work takes place in additon
to the oral aspect of lessons.
The children love their lessons.The ability to communicate with others in a different
language or entertain others in rhyme or song builds their confidence and opens
up yet another new world.
