In a recent assembly to celebrate European Day of Languages our MFL department gave a presentation about the importance of language. The European Day of Languages was established in 2001 to promote the benefit of learning a language and it’s importance in our intercultural understanding. The pupils learnt about the differences in culture through music and song, food and dance and how culture makes countries different and interesting.
A fascinating part of the assembly was hearing from some recent pupils who had all studied a language at Hipperholme Grammar. You can view the videos here.
