Mid-Year Transfer applications into Years 7 to Year 11 (ages 11 to 16)

Mid-year entry transferring from another School is possible and recommended for Years 7 & 8.

We find many children transitioning to larger secondary schools struggle with their sheer size and often experience high levels of low-level disruption and negative peer pressure in lessons. This can cause a child to lose their love of learning. They can become anxious and switch off and often fall into the midstream and become lost.

If you or your child is currently experiencing issues like these, please get in touch and see how we can help.

We offer a broad-based curriculum in these years to give our students the opportunity of experiencing and gaining a passion for a wide range of subjects before selecting their GCSE option choices in Year 8. We start our 3-year GCSE programme in Year 9.

Mid-year transfers are possible in Years 9 & 10, but only where there is a close match of both examination boards & courses being followed.

Sixth Form schools, colleges and employers are increasingly looking for students and employees to be able to demonstrate good grades in their English & Mathematics subjects. We can help your child get back on track and nurture & inspire them to achieve the best they can be. Supported through our blended learning and use of Chromebooks and technology we provide the foundation for critical thinking, creativity, collaboration & communication. These skills are often called the four C’s of 21st-century learning and are skills essential for modern students to succeed in school and the workplace.

They often make the biggest impact in terms of setting our students apart when applying for and starting their careers.

Registrations for Mid-Year Transfer applications or Late Entry in Years 7 to Year 11

For further information please contact

We recommend making an appointment for a 1:1 online Meet or phone call to discuss your individual application and arrange an appointment to visit the School to have a tour of the School and see our facilities as well as meet with key members of the staff.

Visits are followed by the offer of Taster Days where your child can come and ‘try-out‘ the School before joining. We will seek a reference from their current school, and review their academic levels attained on their most recent school reports to assess their capability to access our curriculum.
