Fees, Scholarships & Bursaries

As a private, independent school, we charge fees to cover the cost of the education provided. The fees are fully inclusive of materials such as text and exercise books used within school. Lunches are compulsory and included in the fees so that all pupils receive a healthy meal from a wide selection of dishes each day to ensure the appropriate level of nutritional provision for the school day.

Additional charges are payable for pupils requiring additional SEND support (please ask for further details if applicable), individual music tuition, wraparound care and the school bus service.  Some trips and visits may also incur charges.

All school fees shown below are amounts per term except Pre-School fees which are per session. We have three terms per academic year.

Loyalty Discount for Junior School pupils

For our Junior School pupils transferring to the Senior School in Year 7, there is currently a loyalty discount of £500 per annum for Year 7 and Year 8 only.  This applies to any pupil who joined the Junior School before the start of Year 3 and remained until the end of Year 6 and is in addition to any Scholarship awarded.

Scholarships

In acknowledgment of the School’s tradition and ethos, a small number of free-place Scholarships will be awarded to pupils each year. There is no requirement to apply for a Scholarship, as these are awarded at the discretion of the Board of Governors advised by the Head of Foundation, and based on the achievement of outstanding results in the School’s November Entrance Examination for entry into Year 7. Parents will receive the offer of a Scholarship before the Christmas holiday, with the deadline for acceptance of the offer set each year in mid-January. The Scholarship is secured with the payment of the £720 inc VAT enrolment deposit. In exceptional circumstances, pupils of outstanding academic ability making a late or mid-year application to the school may, at the discretion of the Governors, be offered a full or partial scholarship.

Awards

The Governors may also recognise excellence in Music, Performing Arts or Sporting performance with the offer of an Award from Year 7 upwards. Applications for an Award should be made in writing by submitting a Digital Portfolio of achievements and references and evidenced with supporting information in their chosen discipline. Further guidance on such applications can be found in the Awards Application and Digital Portfolio Guidance. Awards are discretionary, and typically will not exceed 5% of fees. In the case of exceptional ability (for example, competing at a National level in Sport), Awards may be offered up to 10% of fees.

For further information on all our Scholarship schemes, please contact the Admissions Manager.

Fee Assistance (Bursary Applications)

A limited amount of funding is available each year for means-tested Bursaries. These are only occasionally awarded for places in the Junior School. Please contact the Admissions Manager for further information.

Fee Payments Options

We invoice our fees termly and have a number of payment options available. We have three terms a year with payment options for annual in advance (attracts a small discount), termly (due at the start of the term) or monthly direct debits drawn on or around either the 10th or 25th of each calendar month.

Full annual payment in advance, and if cleared into our bank by 31st July will attract a £150 early payment discount.

For any payments other than Direct Debit, our preferred payment method is either BACS or FPS (Faster Payment Service) through your online banking service.
