Houses

Senior Houses

The House system in the Senior School is an integral part of the life of the School.

Named after the School’s benefactors the three houses, Broadley, Lister and Sunderland compete in many areas of School life both inside the classroom and out.

House points are awarded for effort in work as well as for winning sporting, musical and other eclectic competitions.  The House system also gives another opportunity for Senior pupils to mentor and coach more junior members of their house.

Junior Houses

The School places high regard in its House system. Children can gain points for their House through both work and activities. The weekly announcement of housepoint totals is always eagerly anticipated and the House trophy is the most sort after of all our awards given at the end of the year.

All the children remember for many years, if not forever, whether they were a Trojan, a Viking, Greek or Roman!
