Leave of absence requests during term time
At Hipperholme our expectation is that parents fully support their child’s education and that students attend all sessions during term term. Parents are discouraged from taking family holidays or trips abroad during term time as children will miss out on important teaching & learning and social development if not in school.
Parents and carers are legally responsible for ensuring their children attend school regularly and schools are responsible for making sure they receive a good education. It is important that children and young people regularly attend school because every school day counts.
For any queries regarding term dates or for extra-ordinary leave of absence requests for your child during term time, please email the School Office directly here.
All requests will be dealt with by the Head of Foundation or Head of Juniors directly. If you feel you have an exceptional circumstance you must speak with us prior to making any arrangements or taking any absence.
